As Founder and CEO of Juli-Anne’s Tropical Kitchen, Juli-Anne wears many hats as a Mom, Wife, Scientist, Food Product Developer, Nutritionist, Home Chef and Yogi. A transplant to New Jersey via Jamaica, Juli-Anne has a PhD in Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences specializing in Aquatic Animal Nutrition & Fish Diseases and a Master’s degree in Human and Animal nutrition. After many years as a Nutritionist and Food Product developer within the pet food manufacturing and the baby food industry, Juli-Anne realized that there were not many options for healthy snacks lower in refined sugars and low sodium for working moms like herself and decided to launch her own company. The goal of the company is to provide healthy snacks that taste great. Each flavor has been formulated specifically by Juli-Anne and are inspired from the flavors that she grew up with in Jamaica. These snacks are available to anyone who wants to lead a healthy and active life style. She tries to live the company’s mission of “Healthy food, Healthy body, Healthy mind” by incorporating into her active lifestyle running, fitness and weekly yoga classes. She has participated in many 5 and 10k races and is working towards her first half marathon.
